Founded by Sifu Jason Herrera, MBA. After operating a successful martial arts school WHILE getting his MBA (masters degree in business admin) - he began teaching other local business owners how to connect with their ideal customers and create a profitable business without being a salesy jerk.

Those lessons are compressed into 14-days of ACTION assignments and sessions known as the martial arts MBA (maMBA).

Each LIVE session of the workshop is led by Jason, who engage with students in individual and group work. During the workshop, each student publishes the results of the 7 assigned projects on the private FB page. 

The entire course is conducted in English, and skill and confidence in English is our only specific admission requirement.

Over one session of the workshop, expect many comments/communications to occur within the group. The program has regular deadlines, group discussions, and LIVE webinar-style video calls. It is entirely based online, with students participating from their home or workplace (and even their mobile phones).

The tuition for the program can be as high as $1,449 depending on the number of spots made available. Attending students include veteran martial art school owners, garage-school owners, and advanced students that want to go full time as a martial arts dream job.

Admission to the maMBA is by application only. You’re then invited to a short Q&A with Jason to ensure eligibility.

The maMBA is a 2 week sprint built around specific projects. We release project prompts at the end of LIVE sessions. You will also receive replay links if you cannot attend the LIVE sessions.

There are live Q&A sessions three days per week. While meetings may not last the entire time, please make sure that you are able to carve out the scheduled blocks of time, even if you have to watch the “replay” links.

Project: Due at midnight, (24hrs after your cohort’s assignment)

Feedback: You’re commenting on the work of 5 people, and waiting for comments from 5 people. Due at 8 PM. (24hrs after a projects due date)

Apply & Adjust: After seeing the comments from your peers, you may choose to adjust, and finalize it. 

Then, begin using it in your business and report back to the group for high-fives.

Unlike traditional compliance-based education, our curriculum is hands-on. More than 80% of your time is spent producing work, you’ll learn strategies and immediately put them into action. Learn it, actually do it, get feedback, adjust, and win. We are PROUDLY UN-accredited and do not intend to follow the “read and regurgitate” method of learning anytime soon

Most of our students have full-time jobs or busy family schedules. We’ve created an intensive timeline that is designed to stretch you. But it will still be manageable given your real-life responsibilities and you’ll be among a cohort of other students who are on the same journey as you!

Don’t worry about that. Attend as much LIVE as you can, and any replay videos if needed. Sessions are early-afternoons, and Q&A are late afternoon times. 

You will receive an exact schedule when you apply.

With the time difference in the region and the flow of the workshop, students based in this time zone will meet on a slightly different schedule, but their experience will be the same, and they too, will follow the same maMBA process.

There are two reasons for the tuition. The first is that the maMBA requires a significant amount of commitment. You need skin in the game, a real reason to show up when it’s uncomfortable and difficult.

The other reason it’s not free is that in order to build an environment focused on creating change as a small group. In order to keep the group small - it can’t be free or “cheap”. Real impact happens with immersion, not random videos or books.

If this sort of change or investment is too much, we totally get it. The maMBA probably isn’t for you. However, consider the massive dollar cost of learning these lessons the hard way… the massive waste on advertising-spend and lost students…

To be frank with you, this course will pay for itself for an entire career... in dozens of ways. Even if you only complete ONE PROJECT. Show up, step up - and maMBA will deliver results alongside your actions.

No. If you’re accepted, there is a deposit to hold your spot. The rest of your tuition is paid a few days before Day 1.

We’ve made it difficult to apply, betting that those that go to the effort and get on their Q&A call will be ACTION TAKERS that will USE THE STRATEGIES in real-time.

The basic requirements are simple: internet, a device to watch the LIVE webinars, and the generocity to show up with your group and work together on your business.

People who have demonstrated that they have the ability and desire to change are the ones most likely to encourage their fellow students to leap. If you're the kind of person that cares enough to read the FAQ, you're probably the kind of person who will get in.

You’ll need to be aware of the time zone issues. Most of the students will likely be in North America, and thus be in similar time zones.

You do not NEED to be present for each LIVE session, but you DO need to watch the replays and get involved in the discussion group in order to get the most of the maMBA.

Don’t let anything be an excuse - do it if you feel it will change your life and business.

Yes you can. This happens if you apply too late and spots are all filled.

Most learning is ‘take it or leave it,’ and too often, the answer is ‘leave it.’ In the case of the maMBA, we’ve put a lot of effort into creating an environment where you have massive support from Jason and your cohort.

You WILL 100% face a challege (or three) - and that’s because you’re pushing your boundaries. GOOD. The LIVE Q&A, group discussions, and Jason’s RELENTLESS activity within the discussion groups will solve every problem.

Jason answers questions in the group-setting because MANY of your cohort will have the SAME questions as you. So, your challenges are each-others blessings.

This is a 2 week sprint, and the other members of the maMBA are counting on you and every other student to be fully present. So, we ask that each member of the intensive allocate the time to take this process as seriously as the rest of us.

HOWEVER, you do not have to attend LIVE sessions if your schedule inhibits you. What’s important is that you watch the replays and GET INVOLVED in the group discussions with Jason & your cohort.

No. I’ve been there, and it’s a wonderful experience (academically).

maMBA is focused on action, on projects, on DOING IT. There are no grades, and the group feedback is to help you build a real business - RIGHT NOW.

There is no business theory here, only business BUILDING.

Your grade is your success.

This is where it gets deeper… you don’t know what you don’t know.

That means you may not be currently AWARE of what you need because you don’t know the business side deep enough.

In short - you’ll show up and Jason will deliver. Period. If you trust the process and have an eager willingness to grow - you’ll get everything you need from the maMBA.

Marketing, sales, business processes, profitability, it’s all integrated. The challenge will be “which one is your weakness”, that will also be your biggest blessing.

We cap the size of the workshop to 50 participants. This may change in the future - if we find that it has no effect on the quality of discussion etc. For now, Jason needs a small group for it to have maximum effect.

 

A couple of hours. It can feel like a lot, but once you’re in it, you’ll find the time. This is more of a commitment but also way more effective than watching video courses and reading business books. THIS is compressed, and it’s only 2 weeks. Get it together ;)

Because this is a sprint, it’s essential that you keep up with the projects.

Unlike most online courses, the maMBA happens in sync, with lots of group-work and human interaction.

It’s a commitment, which is part of why it works. Imagine a martial art student asking you “can I get my black belt, but only spend an hour a week training? I don’t have time but i’d still like the results please!”

Every other day, for 14 days. We’ll announce exact dates as they are finalized. After you’re accepted into the program.

The course is entirely virtual, so no travel is required. All sessions, coaching and Q&A are included. Contact with Jason and possible private calls are ALSO included.

If there is additional reading or references needed, Jason will send it to you for free.

In addition to the course itself, perhaps our biggest goal is to build a powerful alumni network. Fellow maMBA warriors, pushing each other to make a difference. After the course, support for/between/by our members goes on

There are no hidden fees, add-ons, “advanced up-sells” or any other nonsense

Depending on where you live, the cost is most likely tax deductible, ask your accountant or google your state/country of course.

We need to note that the maMBA is informal, non accredited, and non-bureaucratic.

It IS, however, 100% business training - and is being used solely for your business. Even if you are a Sole-Proprietor. This matters because it’s likely a write-off for training.

We use accept all standard credit card options, including Visa, MasterCard, etc.

In short, you’ll receive a full refund if you show up - complete the projects and feedback - and STILL don’t feel it will be worth your tuition x10 (minimum) at the end.

NO ONE has ever asked for this. maMBA is life changing.

The maMBA is a mutual commitment. We commit to welcoming you into a small, focused cohort of professionals, and doing everything we can to deliver on the promises of the workshop. In return, we ask you to commit to spending the time, money and passion it takes to level up, at the same time you contribute to others in the session.

We understand that life can interfere and that plans change, and we’ve tried to create a refund policy that respects you, and that also respects the student’s that cannot register after spots are taken.

DEPOSIT: We require a ½ tuition deposit to secure your spot in the maMBA program and to accept our admission offer. Your deposit is non-refundable if you withdraw before or during at any time. You took someone’s spot, hence a deposit.

TUITION: The rest of your tuition is fully refundable any time between the day we receive it and thirty-one days before the start of the session you originally applied to attend. If you withdraw and ask for a refund, and then later decide to re-apply, you'll be asked to pay a new non-refundable deposit as part of your full tuition.

WITHDRAWAL DURING SESSION: You would lose your deposit and tuition. The guarantee is only there to protect participants who attend, give it their all, complete the projects, and don’t feel as though Jason delivered for them. If you don’t show up - that’s on you.

We understand that life happens and that plans can change. This being said, we have to be fair to other eager students who are ready to take the leap. We’ve found that deferrals wreak havoc on our systems and make it difficult for us to serve our other students..

We allow just one deferral to a future workshop start-date. You're eligible to defer one time, to an open session on our calendar. You're only eligible if you've paid your non-refundable deposit.

You can only defer up to 10 days prior to the start date of the workshop. No deferrals are possible afterwards.
